f us in our class. There are 13 girls and 14 boys. We are together since the 1st class. Our first teacher was Galina Petrovna. We liked her very much. She tought us from the 1st class till the 4th one. Now a lot of teachers teach us different subjects. Our class leader is Ludmila Vladimirovna. Most of us like such school subjects as literature and English. We often go to the picnics. We are good at playing computer games and IT. The girls are good at music. The boys are good at sport. Sometimes we have bad relationships between boys and girls but in geniral we are friendly. We sometimes have class parties at school. We like them very much. Last year we had the days when we congratulated pupils who have a birthday. We had fun, listened to music, danced and had competitions. We celebrated the New Year with our parents. It was fun. We had a lot of tasty food. In this year we had Halloween. We got dressed in costumes of monsters and witches. It was fun too. We want to meet this New Year like last year.

In our free time most of us like playing computer games. Aloyna and Sonya go dancing in the group "Kolibri". Boys like music band "Rammstein". Girls like the Russian popsinger Dima Bilan. He won the second place on the Eurovision this year. We sometimes go to forest - girls and boys together. We play volleyball and football.
Dear friends,
Could you answer our questions?
1) How many lessons a day have students got in your school?
2) Do you often go anywhere with you class?
3) How do you get to school?
4) Do you have parties in your class at school?
5) What subjects do you learn?
6) How are things at school?
7) Do you like your teachers?

Hello, class 6a and 6b!
My name is Monica Morbini and I teach English in Medole Secondary School ( Scuola Media) in Italy.
I'd like to congratulate you and your teacher Ludmila on the fantastic work you did.
This blog is a great idea and the introductions you sent to my students are excellent!
I'll see my class on Wednesday and we 'll send you our introductions.( At last!!) We'll also try to answer some of your questions on the blog.
Wednesday 13th December is a very special day in the area where we live.We celebrate Santa Lucia. Children get presents on this day.In other parts of Italy kids get presents from Father Christmas on 24th December, but we have a different tradition. If you want to know more about it we'll be glad to tell you all the traditiones related to this special celebration.
Love
Monica
Hi Class 6B,
I agree with Monica - your blog is great and seeing all your photos is fantastic. I'm in Italy too (a coincidence ;-) but I live in the South and I met Ludmila online. She's told me all about you. You look like a great class and I know she's a great teacher so I can see this blog is going to develop brilliantly. I hope one day to be able to talk to you too!
I asked class A what they called their teachers and it would be nice to read your comments.
You can call me Valentina! It's a Russian name although I am British . I was born the same year (uuuuugggggggggggggh - a long time ago!!!) as a famous Russian astronaut - I'm sure you will have studied her "Valentina Tereshkova". I think my mum hoped I'd be the first woman to do something. I've never been or intend to go to space but I hang out in cyberspace a lot!
Look forward to reading more about you and seeing what your Italian friends post too!
Ciao a tutti and keep up the good work,
Valentina
Dear friends from class 6b these are our answers to your questions.
In our school we have 5 lessons a day but on Tuesday we also have 3 afternoon lessons.
-Martina-
We don't often go away with our class, but we always have a 2/3 day school trip in May .
-Lisa-
We live in a small village so
most of us get to school by bike. I go to school by bus.
-Debora-
We don't have parties at school.
We only have the end of school year party in June.
-Lucrezia-
We learn Italian, maths, art, music, English, geography, history, German, science, religious education, phyisical education ,technical education and information technology
-Alberto-
Most of us don't like our teachers because they are too boring, strict and give us too much homework and tests.
-Francesca-
Hi FRIENDS!! How are you?
Thanks for your e-mail, your school presentation is beautiful!!
The Teachers' Gallery is brilliant. In the end we managed to find out who was who.We really enjoyed it.
What about you? Could you manage to match our teachers' pictures with their descriptions?
Well if you didn't, the solution is at the bottom of the page.
Our school isn’t perfect it is old and small, because there are only 92 students!
We like your school very much! Most of us are interested in lapta: it is a hard sport? Do you often play it?Can you explain to us how it works?
We have a special sport, too. It is called “Tamburello” and it is very popular in Northern Italy. We want to tell you more about it and about the other optional school activities next year.
We’d like to answer your questions about the lift, the school bus and our breaks.
In our school the lift is only for a disabled student. He can’t walk. He is on a wheelchair. We can’t use the lift because it is only for him.
We can use the stairs and it is good for our muscles.
Another facility in our school is the school bus. We have got 2 buses. They are yellow and new. One is for 32 and the other for 33 people. The school bus is only for the students who live far from school. It takes them to school and back home when lessons are over.We sometimes use the school bus for short school trips around Medole. The drivers’ names are Francesco and Stefano.
You are lucky to have a break between lessons; we have only got a break between the 3rd and the 4th lesson. This is because we don’t move from one classroom to the other like you do. Our break lasts 10 minutes. During the break we have a snack and play in the school courtyard.
This is our favourite moment, because we are free.
Our lessons are very stressing, we sometimes have got 2 tests in the same day so we must study every day.
Now we have some questions for you! There are some things we don’t understand.
- WHO CLEANS THE SCHOOL? DO YOU HAVE CARETAKERS WHO KEEP THE SCHOOL PREMISES TIDY AND CLEAN?
-WHY DO YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT NUMBER OF LESSONS EVERY DAY?
-WHY DO YOU SAY YOU HAVE 2 LESSONS ON SATURDAY AND FROM YOUR TIMETABLE WE SEE YOU HAVE 4?
-WE CAN’T SEE ANY P.E. LESSONS AT 3 O’ CLOCK ON YOUR TIMETABLE. ARE THESE P.E. LESSONS ON THE ICE-RING AN OPTIONAL ACTIVITY?
-YOU SAY YOU SOMETIMES GO TO THE SWIMMING POOL WITH YOUR P. E. TEACHER AT WEEK ENDS. THIS IS VERY STRANGE FOR US.
IS IT COMMON FOR YOU TO SPEND TIME WITH YOUR TEACHERS AT WEEK-ENDS?
hope to hear from you soon!
Alberto and class 2A
Dear class 6b,
your sound letter is a little masterpiece!
Your work is excellent and it came as a big present for us.
We are working for the end of the school year exhibition and I want your sound letter to be in it, together with the other work you sent about your school and teachers.
Thank you for the energy you put into this project.
It's been a pleasure and a priviledge working with such challenging and motivated kids!
Enjoy your summer holiday and get back to school ready to face some new challenges!
Love
Monica
